Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit South Korea is generally during the "shoulder" seasons of spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November). During these months, the weather is mild, skies are usually clear, and the natural scenery is at its most vibrant.

Health and Safety

Low Crime Rate: Violent crime against tourists is extremely rare.

Night Safety: Streets in major cities like Seoul and Busan are well-lit and active until very late.

CCTV Ubiquity: High-definition cameras are present almost everywhere—on street corners, in elevators, and on all public transit—which acts as a major deterrent for crime.

Quality of Care: Most doctors speak English, and hospitals have dedicated "International Clinics" for foreigners.

Pharmacies: Indicated by a green or red "약" (Yak) sign. Many over-the-counter medications are available without a prescription, though pharmacists usually speak limited English.

Tap Water: The tap water is technically safe to drink

Emergency Alerts: You will likely receive "Emergency Alerts" on your phone. These are often weather-related (heatwaves, heavy rain) or public safety reminders.
